The monkey mind
Our minds are in constant motion, unfortunately the negative monkeys seem to chatter the loudest.
"I am not good enough - I can't do it - I should be better - I'm too busy - I don't have enough time"
We've all heard them chattering away, swinging from one branch of thought to another. Our negative thoughts directly affect how we feel and ultimately lead to fatigue, stress, anxiety and poor health. Taming our monkey mind is possible.
"Distraction is the main problem for us all - what the Buddha called the monkey mind. We need to tame this monkey mind" - Tenzin Palmo
Restorative living is about balancing nutrition, movement, emotions and rest, interspersed with plenty of joy and laughter. This means being aware of our eating and lifestyle habits and evolving towards being the best, healthiest self one can be.
